PM Narendra Modi visit to Odisha is scheduled from November 29 to December 1

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a three-day visit to Odisha from November 29 to participate in an All-India Conference for Director Generals of Police and Inspector Generals of Police in Bhubaneswar.

State Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan informed the media on Monday that the Prime Minister is expected to arrive in Bhubaneswar on the evening of November 29 and will remain in the state until the afternoon of December 1.

During this visit, the Prime Minister will engage in the all-India conference of Director Generals of Police and Inspector Generals of Police, which is being hosted in the capital of Odisha for the first time. The conference will span three days.

Odisha’s Director General of Police, Y B Khurania, stated that the conference will see participation from DGPs across all states and Union territories, as well as leaders from various security forces.

The state government will ensure comprehensive logistical support and implement stringent security measures for the event.

In addition to Prime Minister Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and other high-ranking officials from the Intelligence Bureau, along with all state DGPs, the Director General of the CRPF, and heads of RAW, NSG, and SPG, are expected to attend the three-day conference, according to sources.

The agenda for the DGP conference is anticipated to cover critical topics such as internal security, cybercrime, the Maoist threat, challenges associated with AI technologies, emerging drone threats, and counter-terrorism strategies, among other issues.
