The Congress party on Tuesday removed Sachin Pilot as the Deputy CM of Rajasthan for his rebellion against the party as he avoided the second gathering of MLAs in two days. Additionally, two ministers Vishvendra Singh and Ramesh Meena who went along with him in his revolt have also been dropped.

On Monday, the Rajasthan Congress Legislature Party passed a resolution to stretch out their help to the Ashok Gehlot driven government, which Pilot guaranteed, has been diminished to a minority.

The decision was taken at the Congress Legislature Party meeting as Pilot avoided the meet of Congress MLAs in spite of a few senior pioneers contacting him to end his spat with Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. Subsequently Govind Dotra has been selected as the new Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Chief.
