In Odisha, the number of cases of COVID-19 is on the rise. Today, 1499 positives have been identified from 29 districts. As a result, the total number in the state has reached to 31,877. Of the 1499 identified today, 914 are from quarantine centers and 585 were from local cases.

The highest number of 368 positives have been identified from Ganjam. 214 from Khordha, 97 from Gajapati, 92 from Dhenkanal, 81 from Koraput, 75 from Sundergarh, 67 from Nayagarh, 56 from Sambalpur, 50 from Kandhamal, 44 from Kalahandi and 40 from Rayagada. Similarly, 37 from Balasore, 36 from Puri, 33 from Nabarangpur, 28 from Cuttack, 27 from Malkangiri, 25 from Anugul, 19 each from Jajpur and Balangir, 16 from Keonjhar, 15 from Jagatsinghpur, 14 from Kendrapara, 13 from Mayurbhanj, 10 from Bargarh, 9 from Nuapada, 7 from Jharsuguda, 5 from Sonepur, 2 from Deogarh, 1from Bhadrak have been identified. Out of a total of 31877 cases, 19745 have recovered and 11918 areactive cases.

A total of 8 deaths in the state today has taken the death tally to 177.
