The COVID-19 cases around the globe has crossed 17.2 million mark, while the number of fatalities has gone over 671,000.  As per the latest update (Friday Morning), the total number of cases stand at 17,237,642, while the death count has risen to 671,909.

The USA being the worst COVID-19 affected nation now has 4,494,252 cases with 152,055 deaths. Closely following the trail, Brazil comes second with 2,610,102 coronavirus cases and the death toll has gone up to 91,263. Brazil is followed by India  (1,582,028), Russia (832,993), South Africa (482,169), Mexico (416,179), Peru (400,683), Chile (353,536), the UK (303,910), Iran (301,530), Spain (285,430), Pakistan (277,402), Colombia (276,055), Saudi Arabia (274,219), Italy (247,158), Bangladesh (234,889), Turkey (229,891), France (222,469), Germany (209,535), Argentina (185,373), Iraq (121,263), Canada (117,677), Qatar (110,460) and Indonesia (106,336).

Exactly six months after the World Health Organisation (WHO) announced an international emergency over the deadly pathogen, countries worldwide are witnessing increasing cases of COVID-19 cases that are damaging economies and forcing disruptive protection measures. On Thursday, UK added 3 more days to the one week coronavirus isolation period. People who test positive for novel Coronavirus or have symptoms of it, need to self-isolate or go under quarantine for 10 days instead of 7.
