The corona virus has now become more deadly as 15,445,043 people have been infected with the virus so far acrossthe globe. Even though 8,763,516 people have recovered, the fatality count now stands at 632,173. The United States continues to be the worst-affected nation followed by Brazil and India. On Friday the Covid-19 tally in India rose to 12,87,945 after 49,311 fresh cases were reported within 24 hours.
To check the spread of the virus, the govt. has today scheduled to hold a video conference with eight states, which it views as a “cause of concern”. The meeting will feature a detailed discussion between a team of experts from the Centre as well as senior Health Ministry officials and officers from Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Telangana, Odisha, West Bengal, Assam, Karnataka, and Uttar Pradesh.
Keeping in view about the spread of corona virus, it has been already announced that no school children will participate in the Independence Day celebrations this year. Instead of the 900-1,000 invitees every year, around 250 people will be present as the Prime Minister addresses the nation at the Red Fort. The final list will be prepared by the Defence Ministry.
