To contain the outbreak of COVID 19 pandemic in the city, Rourkela Administration tightened its grip on the violators. Rourkela ADM Aboli S Naravane, Rourkela Municipal Corporation Commissioner Dibyajyoti Parida, RMC Deputy Commissioner Sudhansu Bhoi, Addl. Tahasildar Abhijit Mahanta, OSD, RDA  Jitendra Mahakud led the enforcement drive today at various places in the city.

The team underlined the importance of wearing masks and maintaining social distance in public places, shops, markets, etc. to fight the COVID-19 pandemic successfully. The team praised the shopkeepers and others, who have taken various measures to maintain social distance. Similarly, they strictly warned the shopkeepers and business owners who have not drawn round marks inside and in front of their shops and also have not taken other initiatives to maintain social distance.

Along with that fine was also imposed on the violators including shopkeepers and others who were found not wearing the masks. A total of 43500 rupees was collected as fine from the violators.
