To combat the growing threat of Novel Coronavirus disease, the government is taking a lot of steps across the state to contain its spread. The government has also enforced a lockdown of the state for better quarantine and identification of the affected individuals. In addition to this, all districts have been advised to be ready with a number of beds and isolation wards at multiple places to help isolate and treat coronavirus COVID-19 infected people.

The government of Odisha has initiated the third dedicated and isolated COVID-19 hospital at Hi-Tech Medical Campus, Rourkela. This 200 bedded COVID hospital includes isolation wards, ventilator support and ICU.


The Hospital will be managed by the Hi-Tech Medical College & Hospital, Rourkela. The facility including food, treatment and accommodation, will be absolutely free.

The hospital management has also launched a toll-free number 1800 345 7106 for the public to get any information or to report any thing related to COVID19.

The supplementary support including equipment and manpower is funded by DMF Sundargarh.
